Why won’t my Chromebook turn on, even when it’s plugged into the power outlet?

Cause

The Chromebook may be unresponsive due to a system hang or a power issue.

Resolution

• Ensure the Chromebook is properly connected to a working power outlet and the charging indicator light is on.
• If the device still does not power on, perform a hard reboot:
  • Press and hold the Refresh key (⟳) and the Power button simultaneously for at least 10 seconds.
  • Release both keys and wait a few seconds.
  • Press the Power button again to turn on the Chromebook.
• If the Chromebook powers on, allow it to boot fully before use.
• If the device remains unresponsive, try a different charger or outlet to rule out hardware issues.
• If none of these steps work, contact your IT support team for further assistance.
